Chino Valley is a town located in north-central Arizona, about 10 miles northwest of the city of Prescott. It is situated just north of Prescott and was our territory capital briefly before it moved to Prescott.  The Central Arizona region has an elevation of about 4,800 feet above sea level. The town has about 12,000 people and is known for its small-town atmosphere and close-knit community.

Chino Valley has a number of parks and recreational facilities, including a skate park, a community pool, and a number of sports fields and courts. The town is also home to a number of annual events and festivals, such as the Chino Valley Rodeo and the Chino Valley Farmers Market.

 

The town is served by the Chino Valley Unified School District and has public and private schools serving students of all ages. There are also a few higher education institutions in the area, including Yavapai College and Northern Arizona University.
